Continuing the trainings of the armed forces of Côte d’Ivoire in international humanitarian law, the protection of civilians, WFM-IGP and its two Coalitions - the CICC and the ICRtoP in partnership with the African Center for Human Rights education for Armed Forces (CADHA) hosted the second phase of the training seminar on the theme "Dissemination and appropriation of the Code of Ethics and Military Ethics" on the 08 and 09 November 2017, in the Third Military Region of Côte d'Ivoire – Bouaké.

The main objective of the seminar was to strengthen the capacity of the Armed Forces of Côte d'Ivoire (FACI) in human rights, in international humanitarian law as well as on the major articulations of the Code of Ethics and Military Deontology , and on the principles of international criminal justice.

In a context where the Third Military Region was for several years the epicenter of military sedition, and that the beginning of 2017 was sadly marked by these so-called seditions, in this period of restored order, it was therefore imperative to train the soldiers of this military region in human rights and international criminal justice in order to not only strengthen the image of the Ivorian Army but also and above all to prevent the recurrence of violations of human rights attributable to the FACI.
